Ansar Barni's autobiography "Awaaz"
"Awaaz" is a memoir of Ansar Barni that chronicles his journey from a student leader to a human rights activist. Written/edited by Shahr Bano Rizvi and Tasnim Premji Chamdia at the event, Awaz commemorates Bernie's lifelong global struggle for human rights, and our shared endeavor of transcendence.

While incarcerated in 1977, Bernie witnessed the appalling conditions in Pakistani prisons. That is why he advocated for the prisoners. In 1980, he established the Ansar Burney Trust. In which he worked diligently despite the danger to his life. As a lawyer, Mr. Burney worked with the authorities to develop legal frameworks to solve problems. He worked with Muhammad Khan Junejo, Zia-ul-Haq, Mirza Aslam Baig, Pervez Musharraf, and other leaders. Due to which many prisoners were released in Pakistan. Bernie has won more than 250 awards in his lifetime, including the Outstanding Young Person of the World Award, the Mother Teresa Memorial Award, and Pakistan's major civil awards, the Satara Imtiaz, and the Hilal Imtiaz.
Ansar Barni says.

The memoir chronicles his monumental 17-year struggle against the use of child camel jockeys in the Middle East, and reflects on personal challenges, relationships and encounters with prominent philanthropists. Bernie helped bridge the gap as Pakistan's first Minister for Human Rights and UN Human Rights Expert Advisor.
