Karachi: The National University of Technology (NUTECH) Islamabad, one of Pakistan’s leading public sector universities, caught the spotlight in 20th My Karachi Exhibition 2025 (Expo Center Karachi) with its cutting-edge technology demonstrations and artificial intelligence (AI) projects.

NUTECH fascinated a large audience of students, parents, industry leaders, and technology enthusiast’s keen to learn about academic programs, research projects and industry collaborations.

Speaking to media, Mr. Atif Ali, NUTECH’s spokesperson, emphasized the university’s mission:

He explained that NUTECH’s research is classified into three categories, Applied Research, R&D, Evolution Research, ensuring that students at all levels contribute to Pakistan’s industrial and technological development.

A main highlight of event was NUTECH’s AI Research Center, headed by Professor Dr. Sultan Daood Khan from the Department of Computer Science. The center working on forward-thinking projects such as:
- Production Automation Systems (PAS).
- AI based Crowd Counting for Hajj and other Operations.
- Android Powered Image Analysis Tools for Industries and Organizations.
Dr. Khan highlighted urgent need for Pakistan to implement modern education and AI driven technologies:
“Understand one thing, AI is the power of the future. As the world transfers in this domain, Pakistan must revolution and hands on skills to remain modest.”
