Gohar Khayyam was born on November 19, 1910. The famous actress was an Indian singer, actress, filmmaker, and studio owner. Gohar also had expertise in the field of sound.
Miss Gauhar Dawoodi was born into a Bohra family. Gauhar's father suffered so much in business. Then Gauhar took on the responsibility of supporting the family. Then Gauhar's family friend, who was working as a director at Koh Noor Films, suggested that Gauhar try acting. Gauhar's parents agreed. And in 1925, Miss Gauhar's journey continued successfully till 1940.
Gauhar started her career in 1926 with Baap Kamai, directed by Kanjibhai Rathore. The hero was Khalil, and the film was produced by Koh Noor Films. The film was a hit in theaters. Gohar started 'Shri Sound Studios' along with Jagdish Pasta, Chandolal Shah, Raja Sandhu, and cameraman Panduring Naik. In 1929, along with Chandolal Shah, he founded Ranjit Studios, later known as Ranjit Movie Tone.
She has more than 50 films to her credit in a short span of 15 years. In the 1970s, Miss Gauhar left the film industry. On September 28, 1985, in Mumbai, Gauhar Khayyam passed away, leaving her fans forever.
