Sindh Launches Suicide Prevention Framework, Pilot Project to Begin in Tharparkar
Karachi In a significant move to address growing internal health challenges, the Sindh Integrated Emergency & Health Services (SIEHS) has initiated the development of a structured self-murder forestallment frame aimed at vulnerable sections across Sindh, set to launch in Tharparkar.

The awareness was made during amulti-stakeholder dialogue named “ Talk the Hope, ” which brought together representatives from World Health Organization( WHO), UNICEF, UN agencies, parochial departments, academia and exigency response institutions. Actors emphasized the need for a coordinated and practical system that links beforehand identification of at- threat individualities with clear referral pathways, extremity intervention, and post-incident care.
Speaking at the session, Brig. Tarique Quadir Lakhiar (R), CEO - SIEHS, said:
“The proposed self-murder Prevention Matrix is designed to move beyond mindfulness juggernauts by establishing quarter- position perpetration mechanisms. A central element of the action will be SIEHS’s 24/7 telehealth platform Tele- Tabeeeb( 1123), which provides free medical and internal health support and will serve as a primary comforting and referral channel under the frame.”
Mr. Qasim Siraj Soomro (MPASindh) highlight importance of coordinated and district-level work. He said this is strategic and much-needed step for the most vulnerable communities in Sindh, especially Tharparkar. It should be ensured that aid reaches the suffering people.
SIEHS verified that after the Tharparkar airman, the frame will be expanded to other vulnerable sections including Badin, Sanghar and Jamshoro. Health authorities described the action as a step toward erecting a sustainable, substantiation- grounded internal health response system in Sindh, aimed at reducing smirch, perfecting access to care, and strengthening collaboration among institutions.
