Japanese recognize Pakistani IT industry
Tokyo: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), in cooperation through Embassy of Pakistan in Tokyo, launched Pakistan Pavilion in Japan IT Week 2025. The event is being from April 23 to 25 May in Tokyo Big Sight, one of Japan’s foremost exhibition venues.

The Pakistan Pavilion features 18 leading IT companies on behalf of the country’s varied digital abilities, including IT services, consulting, software and game development, and rooted systems. These organizations are showcasing their latest inventions and technological solutions to a global audience.
The Pavilion was inaugurated by Mr Talha bin Khalid, Charge d’Affaires in Pakistan Embassy of Japan, with Ms Madhi Ali, Trade & Investment Counselor, & Mr. Shahbaz Hameed of PSEB. Notabilities from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and representatives of participating companies were also present at the ceremony.
The Pakistani showcase has gathered strong interest from Japanese buyers, with many expressing admirations for the quality and creativity of the solutions on display. Participating firms are hopeful about falsifying new business influences and tapping into the profitable Japanese IT market.
This inventiveness marks an important breakthrough in Pakistan’s efforts to assimilate with the global digital economy. As Pakistani tech expertise meets with Japan’s innovation landscape, both nations are ready to bilateral cooperation in IT sector, paving the way for active and jointly worthwhile partnerships.
