Hania Aamir Known as Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan
Pakistani actress Hania Aamir named Goodwill Ambassador of UN Women Pakistan. She is in some global heroes who leading on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has bagged another achievement, this time pertaining her career outside the showbiz industry as she is now the Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women Pakistan.
A well known for her strong performances and infectious personality, Hania will now lend her voice among millions to call for the realization of rights for women and girls throughout Pakistan—equality, empowerment, freedom from discrimination, violence against girls and other violations.
In a statement posted to Instagram, UN Women Pakistan congratulated Hania Aamir and wrote that she will “leverage her influence as an artist to inspire, raise awareness, and drive change for a future where every woman and girl can live free of violence to achieve their full potential.”
She is the second Pakistani woman to win this title after Muniba Mazari who was appointed in 2015. In South Asia, she comes on board with the likes of Sania Mirza and Farhan Akhtar (India).
Internationally, UN Women’s goodwill ambassadors include well-known movie stars like Emma Watson, Nicole Kidman and Anne Hathaway.
Roles have also been performed by other Pakistani entertainers for UN agencies, such as Fawad Khan (UNDP), Shehzad Roy deals with United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador is Mahira khan, The UNICEF’s have assigned the duties of goodwill kiran to Saba Qamar.
